About UTC Canada

UTC Canada is a trade association focused on addressing the critical telecommunications issues for utilities and energy companies in Canada and the providers of telecommunications infrastructure or information technology services.

UTC Canada works to bridge the issues that impact both the parent utilities and their competitive telecom subsidiaries (UTelcos) as an advocate for the telecom and IT interests of ALL Canadian electric, gas and water utilities, and oil and gas pipelines – whether publicly or privately owned, and for infrastructure organizations in Canada – especially with the CRTC, Industry Canada, and the Federal Government.

UTC Canada provides advocacy support through various legislative and regulatory efforts and offers a variety of focused networking opportunities for Canadian utility/energy telecom professionals including the Annual Canadian Utility Telecom Conference.

HOW IS UTC CANADA STRUCTURED?

UTC Canada is led by a Board of Directors that is comprised of representatives from charter member utilities as well as elected representatives of other utility members.

WHY SHOULD I JOIN UTC CANADA?
Members of UTC Canada are able to connect with their peers in addressing telecommunications legislative and regulatory issues unique to utilities and critical infrastructure. In addition to a collective legislative voice on critical issues, UTC Canada provides members with an opportunity to network, gain essential skills to enhance their career, share best practices and stay up to date on news relevant to the utility, UTelcos and critical infrastructure telecom sector. UTC Canada members can also take advantage of full membership rights in UTC USA – the global trade association focused on the unique telecommunications needs of critical infrastructure.
